WHEN: 01 0650D SEPT 09 WHO: APOLLO 2 ISO 2/8 WHERE: 41R PQ 13047 23452, 3KM SOUTH OF COP KHANJAR WHAT: IED FIND EVENT: WHILE CONDUCTING ROUTE CLEARANCE OPERATIONS, APOLLO 2 DISCOVERED AN IED CONSISTING OF A PRESSURE PLATE, POWER SOURCE, AND 40-50LBS HME. EOD WITH THE RCP CONDUCTED A CONTROLLED DETONATION AND APOLLO 2 CONTINUED MISSION. BDA: NO CASUALTIES OR DAMAGE REPORTED. ISAF # 09-0014 (CLOSED)
